Denne Stranda has launched a shared housing portal for Stranda, where anyone can post homes and plots for sale or rent. You can also place an ad if you are looking for somewhere to live yourself.
The aim is to make it easier to find a home in Stranda – and at the same time bring more of the homes that are actually available in our villages into the open.
Access to housing matters if we want more people to move to the municipality. We regularly hear from people who want to move here, but who struggle to find somewhere to live. Rental homes can be especially hard to find, because much of it is shared through local Facebook groups, word of mouth and networks that are not always easy to reach if you don't already live here.
All the homes in one place
With the housing portal, we want to gather and show available homes and plots from all our villages in one place.
Here you can post a home for sale or rent, a plot for sale, or an ad if you are looking to rent. The portal can also be used for homes that are available for a limited period, for example for seasonal workers, travelling workers or others who need somewhere to stay temporarily.
The portal is meant for homes where people will actually live, not for short-term lets to tourists or holiday rentals.
We need to make what we have visible
For the portal to be useful, we depend on people with a vacant home or plot actually posting it.
Good, visible housing is an important part of making people want to live and create in all of Stranda municipality. The housing portal will not solve the housing challenges on its own, but it can help make what we do have more visible and easier to find.
